| The Department of Financial Services and Risk Management, Faculty of Business Management, Universiti Teknologi MARA and the Malaysian Finance Association (MFA) are pleased to announce the Malaysian Finance Association 9th Annual Conference to be held on 12-13 June, 2007 at Concorde Hotel, Selangor. | Who Should Participate? |
| Professionals from finance and banking institutions, representatives from the Central Bank of Malaysia, government bodies, research institutions, professional associations, academicians, post-graduate students and interested parties are invited to participate and submit papers to be considered for presentation. The MFA conference provides a platform for discussing issues, exchanging ideas and promoting better understanding of finance-related topics. The conference also invites a list of speakers from government policy makers, top corporate leaders and academicians to share ideas with the participants |

| Objective |
The objectives of the conference are to:
Provide opportunities for professional interaction between academicians, researchers and practitioners to discuss and exchange ideas pertaining to issues related to finance. |

| Promote the development and understanding of issues and challenges pertaining to finance and banking systems towards an efficient global financial market. |

| Enhance the quality of education in finance by establishing a comprehensive network among academicians and practitioners in finance and banking related areas. Encouragement and collaborations between UiTM and other universities and private institutions will further strengthen Malaysia?s academic and financial success. |

| Interested parties are invited to submit original works related to all aspects of finance for presentation. The conference will focus on the following areas of interest, but not limited to: |

| Paper Submission |
The deadline for submission of abstract is 30th December 2006 and the full paper must be submitted by 31st January 2007. The conference will accept papers in both Malay and English. All papersa will be subjected to blind reviews by MFA panel of reviewers. Monetary prizes and certificates for best papers will be awarded based on recommendations of the committee. Selected papers will be published in the Capital Market Review Journal. Authors should send the completed paper as single MS Word document, either through email as an attachment to the email address MFA2007@gmail.com or on a 3.5 inch floppy diskette and 3 hard copies of the paper to be mailed to the address below. Please adhere to the guidelines as attached on the website. Papers will only be arranged for presentation and publication if at least one of the authors registers for the conference before or on the pre-registration date. |
